ADMISSION NOTICE(SESSION 2008-09)

CAREERS IN HOTEL AND CATERING

Applications are invited for admission along with attested copies of certificates for the following Trade Diploma of one and a half year duration.

The last date for submission of application is 30.06.2008.

Seats Information:

Food Production – 70 Seats
Bakery & Confectionery – 30 Seats
Front Office Operations – 35 Seats
Food & Beverage Service – 70 Seats
House Keeping Operations – 35 Seats

Process:
The interview to judge the Communication, aptitude & seriousness etc. will be held on:-
08.07.2008 – All candidates of SC/ST/PH.
09.07.2008 – 1 to 200 General Category
11.07.2008 – 401 onwards – do-
The merit list will be displayed on the Institute Notice Board on 14.07.2008 and also be available on the website . The final counselling of the candidates for allotment of seats on basis of merit list will be held as under:-
15.07.2008 – All candidates of SC/ST/PH.
16.07.2008 – 1 to 100 as per merit rank (General Category)
17.07.2008- 101 onwards – do-
In case of selection, fee will have to be deposited at once, failing which seats will be given to the candidates next on the merit list. The second counseling to fill up the vacant seats, if any, will be held on 28.07.2008.

Other Information:
The minimum qualification for admission is 10+2 with English (pass).
Age limit up to 22 years for general category and 25 years for SC/ST Category as on
01.08.2008.
15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST and 3% for PH.
Limited Seats are available in the hostel for outstation boys & girls.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
Merit-cum-means scholarships are available. Details available in the office.

Prospectus containing application form the other details are available on payment of Rs 250/- at the Institute counter at through book post by sending M.O./Bank Drat of Rs. 300/- in the name of Chandigarh Institute of Hotel management payable at Chandigarh Stating full address in capital letters on the counterfoil/back. Candidate must attach a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- alongwith the downloaded form the website, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
